Week 2 of Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q’s fundraising efforts for the 2011 Freedom Month campaign will focus on military families. In conjunction with Operation Homefront of North Carolina, Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q® will donate $1.00 for every picture posted on the SCNB facebook page of a loved one serving in the armed forces overseas or posted to twitter with the hashtag #GratefultoServe. This ends July 17th so make sure to post your photo today!

Online Bar-B-Q Ordering – Taking Time to Become New and Improved

Due to the tremendous popularity of our online bar-b-q shipments, we are currently re-organizing our online business to better serve you, our loyal customers.
While we know this creates a hardship for our out of state customers who have come to depend on that “fix of Eastern North Carolina bar-b-q”, we want to take the time to ensure that our online component matches the level of service we are famous for and that you have come to expect from Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q.
We expect to be back on online by October 1, 2011 – at the latest – to serve our customers during the holiday season. In the meantime, our sauces and mixes are still available to our out of state customers.

Friday, April 22nd, 2011As all of our North Carolina customers are aware – and many of you out of area folks may have been made aware of by national news outlets – Central and Eastern North Carolina were hit with severe thunderstorms and a record number of tornadoes on Saturday, April 16, 2011. The News and Observer reports that $115 million dollars worth of damage was done in Raleigh, the state’s capital city, alone.

As our longtime patrons know, Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q is always grateful to serve, and that is never more important than in times of true need. Many of our locations across the state had opportunities to assist those affected over the past week and we are happy to have been able to do so.

Our locations (32) are in North Carolina only, but we can ship our signature Bar-B-Q, slaw and brunswick stew ANYWHERE in the United States. Visit our online store and check out all the different items available for shipping.
All our bar-b-q is hand-pulled and made from scratch with the freshest ingredients from an old family recipe prior to shipping. First we cool the bar-b-q and vacuum-seal your order to lock in the freshness. We then seal it in an insulated cooler filled with cold packs. Then we ship it directly to you anywhere in the continental United States via priority mail. The only thing simpler than ordering our bar-b-q is eating it!
