The newest Smithfield’s Chicken ‘n Bar-B-Q location to break ground will be located in Jacksonville, NC in the Wal-Mart shopping center, named “Freedom Village”, near the intersection of US Hwy 258 and NC Hwy 24. The Freedom Village location will be the first new Smithfield’s Chicken ‘n Bar-B-Q location to open its doors since the Leland location opened on January 1, 2009 – bringing the total number of operating Smithfield’s Chicken ‘n Bar-B-Q locations to 33.

I was raised on Smithfield BBQ. My husband was military and after he retired we chose to stay in Virgina. I really miss your BBQ. It is the best. Any chance of opening a location in the Newport News area?
i am so glad that we are getting one closer to our home.i go to the one on henderson drive 3 times a week now with this one with in 3 miles of my home who knows maybe 7 days a week thank you for bringing it to our side of town we have needed it here for years
