Smithfield Chicken N’ Bar-B-Q as part of its long standing support of this project, donated wooden chairs to be painted by the 5th grade art club, school staff members and community leaders which were then auctioned. The fundraising goal for this year is $3,000 and currently $2,700 has been raised with additional monies expected.

Richard Averitte, restaurant operations & director of marketing, for Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q, explains their role, “Chairs of Hope is wonderful program and we are proud to be part of a program that engages children in their community and supports art education and appreciation.”

The organizer of this project and Vandora Springs Elementary School Art Teacher, Jim Hunt states, “Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q has been a gracious sponsor and we are very appreciative to them for helping us with this wonderful outreach project.”

The Pulse of the Office: National Administrative Professional’s Day is April 25, 2012

Admins are one of the engines of business, particularly in a complex economy. In a world that demands the accurate and speedy movement of digital information, admins are masters of data. And they do this while maintaining their more traditional role as the gatekeepers for many customers, clients and employees. Quite simply, admins are the pulse of the office.

Over the years, Administrative Professionals Week has become one of the largest workplace observances. The event is celebrated worldwide, bringing together millions of people for community events, educational seminars and individual corporate activities recognizing support staff.

The most common ways of recognizing your Administrative Professional(s) today are:

  • Flowers
  • Cards, often with shopping gift certificates
  • Take them to lunch
  • Candies
  • Assorted Gift Baskets

We want to help you thank your staff.  Feed the office on us.  Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q wants to help a lucky office celebrate their admins by giving away a 20 person party pack (valued at $150).

Here’s the best part… We Deliver!

Holiday parties provide the perfect occasion to spend time with friends and family and make fabulous new memories.  Often these times can be laced with stress if you do not find an easier way to handle the preparation tasks.  Things like what food you will be serving and how you are going to prepare them at such a busy time can make you a bit frazzled.

This year let Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar B Q take the worry out of preparing some of the dishes for Easter Dinner.  Whether you are entertaining for four, eight, or twelve people, we have delicious sides and pork shoulders to bring a successful Holiday table together.

From now til April 6th, Smithfield’s is having a contest for a lucky customer to win a Free Pork Shoulder for your Easter Sunday meal.  For an added bonus, we are including a bottle of our House BBQ sauce.
