Happy National Fried Chicken Day!

Wednesday, July 6th, 2011

According to Daily Republic writer C.W. Plunkett, “fried chicken has been around for hundreds of years. It was a recipe that was first brought to this country by Scottish immigrants, and then it was later perfected by cooks in the South who added flavorful and unique spices to their coating mix”… and we couldn’t agree more!

In honor of the holiday, we want to know – what’s your favorite place to enjoy fresh Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q fried chicken? Do you enjoy it on a boat with a large cup of sweet tea? Or at a picnic with a double serving of our tasty potato salad?

Leave a comment below telling us your favorite place to enjoy fried chicken and we’ll send you an email with a special coupon for our 8-piece fried chicken box… complete with special extended expiration date!
